The ‘Continuous Delivery of Microservices on AWS Cloud’ meetup conducted on 18th March at iCanCode allowed us to take a deep dive into the continuous delivery of micro services on AWS. The main goal of the meetup was to enable developers to play with the continuous delivery of microservices on Amazon Web Services cloud.
The meetup was led by Ajitesh Kumar, an active organizer in the meetup community and a Big data and cloud computing enthusiast. With around 20+ developers attending the meetup, the crowd was enthusiastic about creating great cloud-native solutions in time to come.
Here are our 3 key takeaways from the meetup:
- We often struggle with bringing out our products in a limited amount of time. With microservices, we understood how to get started with development, testing and releasing products in continuous deployment cycles. Adopting this methodology brings down our development time exponentially while making us more productive.
- The ability to think in a broad spectrum and never limiting ourselves to any technology takes us a long way. To consistently do that, we must explore various technologies and experiment with them.
- A deep understanding of how Amazon web services support the cloud-native apps and Microservices oriented apps.
In other words, we learned how to give our products an agility and velocity. This meetup was a great way of connecting with other tech enthusiasts from the community. We look forward to more such meetups.
